Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has an awesome day. Whether you're with family, friends, your cat or at work. There's an upside to everything ;) This year I'm thankful for so many things - my family and loved ones, moving into my new apartment this year, my jobs (even when I don't act like it), and having enough people to play Catan with me - just to list a few! What are you thankful for?

a great and terrible beauty, the office, ludacris

Right now I'm re-reading A Great and Terrible Beauty, by Libba Bray. It's one of the few YA books that didn't fill me with fiery rage. I read the series a long time ago and remember enjoying them, but for some reason I can't remember much that happened aside from the main plot points (and those were a bit fuzzy too). While looking for my next read I decided to re-read this series, because 1) I wanted to remember why I liked them in the first place, and 2) I've been feeling really stressed and bummed out lately, During those times I like reading things that are easy (hahah).

I'm watching a lot of things right now! Amazing Race, Project Runway: All Stars, Walking Dead, Once Upon a Time and About a Boy are what I'm attempting to keep up with. I've also been re-watching episodes of The Office lately, just because that show makes me really happy. Even when sad things happen on it I don't feel bad because I know it all works out in the end, hahah!

Pandora is usually set to the "Ludacris" station. Because I'm really gangster! Just kidding :(

worms clan wars, apple cinnamon cheer, blueberry and pineapple

I've still been playing a lot of Worms. Well, not a LOT, because I haven't had much time to game, but when I am playing a game it's usually Worms with my brother. It's simple, yet very satisfying to see the opponent's worm go flying into the water after you kamikaze their butt.

I really like candles right now? I was never a candle person so I don't know why this is happening. It all started about two weeks ago. I was feeling really bummed out that day and passed a display of Glade holiday scented candles, and for some reason I really felt like I needed this $3.00 apple cinnamon candle in my life. I've been using it a lot and the smell fills up my small apartment quickly, which makes me smile :) The only upside to small living spaces, hahah. I also dug out a couple other candles I've had packed away but never really used, so I've just been using whatever candle I'm feelin' that day.

Working on
Earlier this month my mom and I were spending a lot of time working on our crafty things for two upcoming Blueberry and Pineapple events. Both have passed now, and while I'm glad we did them, that's one less thing to worry about! Now I'm just trying to make it through my actual jobs every day. I'm also still trying to finish Christmas shopping. Every year I say I'm going to get it done early, but I never do. I REALLY want to have it done early enough that I can just order it all online and not have to go to the store! Finally, as usual, I'm also working on my blog. Unfortunately I haven't been able to put as much effort as usual into it, but I have some future posts (including another giveaway, yay) that I'm really excited about! ;)

#Nerdvember Day 1-16 Recap

This month I decided to participate in #Nerdvember, an Instagram challenge hosted by the lovely ladies at Set To Stunning! Participants are challenged to post a photo of themselves in a themed outfit every single day (or as many days as possible) in November. Outfits can range from something obviously geeky like your favorite Marvel t-shirt, or more vague, like an outfit inspired by a character through the use of a specific color palette. There's also prizes! However many days you participate determine which prize tier you're in, then a winner is drawn from each tier. Anyway, I thought it might be fun to do a little round-up of some of my outfits I've thrown together for #Nerdvember. Unfortunately on some days I just threw on a nerdy t-shirt and left it at that, and some days I wasn't even able to do anything, but getting into the spirit of things has still been fun and I love checking out everyone else's outfits in the #Nerdvember Instagram tag every day!

Day 1 - Hello Kitty I love Hello Kitty, and it's almost (almost) embarrassing how much Hello Kitty stuff I have around. You can't really tell, but my shirt was pink, too! I also wore a hoodie with little cat heads printed on it, but I didn't take a picture of it since it wasn't actually Hello Kitty and didn't match the color scheme. My necklace is the Pink Ribbon Kitty Necklace from The Red Bow, and with each necklace sold they donate $5 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation! Win-win.

Day 2 - LEGO I'm equally obsessed with anything LEGO! My shirt and bag are from two separate trips to LEGOland! This is one of my favorite bags. It also gets a lot of attention from 10 year old boys, hahah.

Day 3 - Star Wars I don't wear it as often as I should, but this is one of my favorite Star Wars shirts because I think it's funny :) It was a lucky find from the thrift store.

Day 4 - Sealab 2021 Fignuts! I miss this show. The shirt is an awesome hand-me-down from Andrew, but it's definitely something I'd have bought if I'd seen it in stores. I think he said he bought it at Hot Topic a million years ago. I paired it with some sea themed jewelry, in the form of my favorite jellyfish earrings!

Day 5 - Pop Art I really think this bag is one of the coolest things ever. The first time I saw one online (I think it was on The Dainty Squid) and realized it was an actual bag I knew I needed one in my life. It doesn't really hold as much as I'd like, but it holds enough and the overall awesomness makes it all worthwhile. I've been itching to get a blue one too, but it's not like I need another bag. Sigh. The earrings are from Forever 21!

Day 6 - Fullmetal Alchemist Fullmetal is my absolute FAVORITE anime! In my teens I was really into the anime/manga scene, but FMA was the only one I was truly obsessed with. Since this was a really busy/stressful day, I just ended up adding two of my favorite pins to the hoodie I was wearing to work. I picked up these Edward and Alphonse chibi pins at the best yard sale I've ever been to.

Day 7 - Pandas Pandas are adorable and are one of my favorite animals! This hoodie came from Mervyn's (RIP) and is super cozy! The hip hop themed panda is really amusing to me, hahah.

Day 9 - Bee and PuppyCat I recently learned all about Bee and PuppyCat and it makes me really happy. Bee is so cute, and PuppyCat is so grumpy and adorable. Bee wears a yellow sweater with a bumble bee on it and pink shorts, so when I got home from work I lounged around in my spelling bee shirt with pink gym shorts <3

Day 11 - Jack Skellington It's officially really freakin' cold over here, so as soon as I got home from work I put on my warmest hoodie! I should probably get someone to turn the pilot light on so I can use the heater, but I wanted to try waiting until December...

Day 12 - Lord of the Rings I love my new Lord of the Rings tank from Jordandene! I love the style and it's super soft :) In case you haven't seen it yet, I'm currently running a giveaway for another one of these tanks! You can check out my full review and enter the giveaway in my earlier post, right here!

Day 13 - Hello Kitty Round 2 More Hello Kitty! This was my first full day off in fooorever, so the only thing I felt like wearing that day were my jammies. At least I tied it all together with my Hello Kitty slipper socks ;)

Day 14 - Alone in the Dark I wore my Alone in the Dark shirt to the theatre that night, where I work usually in the dark, and sometimes alone (P.S. I am not advocating this as a good movie/game/anything else, hahah).

Day 15 - Star Wars Round 2 Another really subtle #Nerdvember day. I got this Ewok pin at the Star Wars: Science Meets Imagination exhibit earlier this year! I think Ewoks are adorable.

Day 16 - Final Fantasy Random story - a friend got me this Griever pendant when we were at Anime Expo years ago, thinking it was from Final Fantasy Advent Children (it's not). I still like it, though! I paired it with a little chibi Cloud pin!

So those are my #Nerdvember themes so far! Sorry some of them are pretty underwhelming. November (I almost typed Nerdvember, hahah) turned into a really hectic month for me. In the beginning of the month I was getting ready for our first craft sale, then my working hours (for all three of my jobs) multiplied by way too many, and now I'm getting ready another craft sale! Aaaaaahhhh. So yeah, hahah! I'll be recapping the rest of the months #Nerdvember photos in a future post, but if you want to follow along day-to-day then be sure to follow me on Instagram!

Read Play Blog: Favorite Sci-Fi Games

Read Play Blog is a meme about video games and books, posted every 16th of the month. Bloggers are encouraged to answer a discussion question, recommend a video game that they like, and share what they're currently playing. Hosted by Happy Indulgence Books & Read Me Away!

What's your favorite sci-fi game?

Read Play Blog is something I look forward to writing every month, but I have to say this months topic isn't in my wheel well. I don't really play sci-fi games. The closest I've played through was Saints Row IV (because aliens and space and things), which I've already written about over and over again, so I'll do you a favor and skip that this time around. The other ones I've tried I wasn't fond of. I don't like Halo (or any of first person shooter for that matter), and I don't like flying through space. Obviously that isn't all sci-fi games, but embarrassingly I just haven't had much exposure. With that, instead of recommending you an awesome sci-fi game, I will throw this question back at you, and beg someone to help me find a sci-fi game I'll love. There HAS to be something out there for me! Reading everyone else's Read Play Blog posts will hopefully give me some ideas, too!

I also don't like running around in ships because the rooms and halls tend to look the same and I get lost easily. I'm telling you all sorts of embarrassing things today! Sigh. - (picture source)

My Recommendation: Fable III

It's been awhile since I played this game, but for some reason its been on my mind lately. Fable III is an action/role-playing/open world game, with a lot of subtle underlying humor throughout. The story focuses on your character's struggle to overthrow the King of Albion (who also happens to be your brother) by forming alliances and building support for a revolution. Then (SPOILER) after a successful revolt, you become the monarch and must attempt to defend Albion from a great evil that was foretold earlier in the game.

Fable III
Not your character. I just think this picture's funny :)

What I like about this game is that there's so many ways the story can go. Do you want your character to be an evil badass, feared by all? Or maybe a more humble leader that your kingdom admires and looks up to? Little decisions you make earlier in the game often end up affecting you later, and not always in good ways. Think before you act! Also, if anyone else understands this games weird obsession with chickens, I'm really curious.

What I'm currently playing: Worms Clan Wars

Worms Clan Wars

I had never really planned on playing a game about worms, but here I am. Earlier this week my younger brother was telling me how much fun we'd have playing this together (even though he'd never tried it either), and I was like, "uh huh," not really thinking much about it. Then he bought it for us. There was a sale on Humble Bundle, which had a bunch of the Worms games, including FOUR copies of Worms Clan Wars. So there was one copy for him, one for me, one for Andrew, and he's saving the last one for when we convince my older brother to play with us. It's a Christmas present over a month early, hahah. He's one of my favorite people to game with, so I love it when we get to try new games together! We played it for the first time on Friday night. It was a little rocky at first, but once we got the hang of it it was really fun! You basically just take turns trying to strategically demolish the other teams worms with all sorts of different weapons. It's simple but really fun, and I don't know about everyone else, but it got a LOT of laughs from us. I also like that you can name and customize the worms on your team. I named mine after some of my favorite rappers and hip hop artists, hahah!

So that's it for this month. December's topic is something I'm sure will be easy for all of us; we'll be sharing what's on our gaming wishlists, and some recommendations on games to get your friends!

5 Fandom Friday: Apps I Cannot Live Without

It's Friday again! Yeaaa. The topic for this weeks Fandom Friday is actually "smart phone apps I cannot live without," but confession - I don't have a smartphone. I KNOW. I do, however, have a tablet which can use most of the apps I want/need, so I'll be writing this from that standpoint!

1. Instagram

It took a long time for me to hop on the Instagram bandwagon, but now that I have I'm in love. I kind of see it as a way of microblogging. I don't always have time to check out my Facebook and Bloglovin' feed (as much as I love to), so sometimes it's nice to just scroll through Instagram and see what my friends are up to. I also love to use it for my own photos, as a fun little way to share things that don't really call for their own blog post. Another fun thing about Instagram are photo challenges! Back in March I used Instagram to start the 100 Happy Days challenge and had a great time. It was fun sharing things that made me happy every day, and after awhile most of the people I knew were following along or asking me what my "happy thing" for the day was. Right now I'm participating in #Nerdvember, which is an Instagram challenge to wear a nerdy themed outfit as many days possible in November!

2. Gmail

Not a very exciting answer, but I use my Gmail app ALL. THE. TIME. It's so convenient and easy to use when I'm out and need to send a quick e-mail.

3. Noom Weight Loss Coach

Even though I'm not actually on a diet, I still try to keep track of what I eat. I love sugar, carbs, cheese and often want to eat ALL THE THINGS so I at least try to be very self-aware about it. I first tried My Fitness Pal, since that seems to be the popular one to use, but for some reason I just couldn't get the hang of it. I tried Noom on a whim and really loved it! The layout is simple and it makes tracking your food intake really quick and easy. The only downside is that the built in pedometer is always wonky. At first I thought it had something to do with using it on a tablet, but I've heard that it's the same on phones, too. So if you want to track your steps I recommend using your own pedometer!

4. Komik

There's not much to say about this one because it's just a comic book/manga reader, and on its own it doesn't really do much. I do most of my comic book reading on my tablet, so a good reader platform is a must! Right now it's filled with old Aquaman comics, for when I was getting in the zone to be Aquaman on Halloween :)

5. Netflix

Another basic choice, but it's true! I love watching Netflix on my tablet. Sometimes I like watching a show in bed before going to sleep (I find having my laptop in bed really cumbersome).

So that's it for this week! What are your favorite apps?

5 Fandom Friday is a weekly, themed linkup hosted by The Nerdy Girlie and Super Space Chick!

Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost...(Review and GIVEAWAY!)

Last month I had the pleasure of meeting Jordan, the genius and all around badass behind Jordandene clothing! We found each other on one of my favorite blogging groups, Female Geek Bloggers (join us, we're cool), and she so generously sent me this amazing tank to share with you guys.

"Not all those who wander are lost," is a quote that comes from the poem "All That is Gold Does Not Glitter," written by J.R.R. Tolkien for The Lord of the Rings.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Cool, right? One of my favorite things about this tank is that it expresses my geeky side in a more subtle way. It doesn't loudly shout HELLO, LORD OF THE RINGS FAN OVER HERE. If someone recognizes the quote, awesome, but even if they don't they'll still think it's an awesome tank (because it is). The next best thing about it is that it's so ridiculously soft. I kinda want to live in Jordandene clothes now, and am strongly considering getting her Harry Potter sweatshirt to live in all Winter.

Speaking of Harry Potter, Jordandene has an awesome variety of shirts from various fandoms to choose from, such as Game of Thrones, Doctor Who and Narnia! Whatever you're into, I'm sure she has something for you. I also think they make great gifts for that "Doctor Who fan that already has everything" type of friend ;)

Pictures from

Now, if I've totally sold you on Jordan's amazing clothes, how about trying to win some of your own?! This giveaway is open internationally, so enter using the widget below and one winner will receive their own "Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost" tank! If you're so in love and absolutely can't wait, you can also visit her site and use the code FANGIRL2014 for 20% off your order! Good luck!

Blueberry & Pineapple's First Craft Sale!

As the title says, mine and my moms shop, Blueberry and Pineapple, appeared at its first event! Huzzah! It was an interesting experience with both ups and downs, but we had a lot of fun and learned a few new things.

Thanks to our friend Carla for snapping this picture!

So a little backstory; if you're been around here for awhile, you might remember that I opened an Etsy shop back in April. It was filled with these fun little felt letter pins that my mom and I were making. We still love these pins, but a few months ago we decided to go in a different direction and make yo yo headbands!

The blue one's my favorite!

Do they look familiar? I'm wearing one in my blog profile photo! They come in both stretchy headbands and regular metal ones :) Also using fabric yo yo's, we made hair clips and barrettes! So ANYWAY, that's what we'd been working on for the past couple months. During that time, we also decided to rent a booth space at a local Holiday Faire! We had never done that before so we were a little nervous, but I also thought it might be the motivation we needed.

Snapped while making some barrettes!

So last Saturday, we showed up at the event location around 9:45am to set up our table. It didn't take long for me to feel intimidated by flashy and elaborate table setups the other sellers had. (Oh, don't mind me, with my little Christmas tree and blue tablecloth. Presentation is something I'll be working on a bit more next time.) The event wasn't open to the public until 11:00am, so my mom and I had plenty of time to fret and change our minds on how we wanted everything laid out.

Blurry side-ish view of our table, but our Christmas tree is cut off :(

Please excuse our booth neighbor pictured above. They sold these glass pendent things which were cool, but they weren't the best neighbors. Throughout the whole event they had large groups of people visiting them, and they'd stand in front of our booth or behind their booth while creeping onto our side. It was like they were having a huge family reunion. Sort of awkward. I was pleased when we got some friends of our own visiting, but they didn't come in huge herds, hahah.

So how did we fare? It wasn't the worst, but it could have gone better. The next event we're going to is in a very different atmosphere, so I'm curious to see if that has any positive/negative impact. I guess we just need to try things until we figure out what works best!

If you want to take a closer look at our items and follow along on our crafty adventure, visit Blueberry and Pineapple on Facebook! Eventually I'll be posting these on Etsy, too! Yay :)

5 Fandom Friday: Comfort Foods That Always Make Me Feel Better

Aaah, comfort foods. Yum. I feel a little weird writing about the terrible things I eat two Fridays in a row, but since that's this Friday's theme I'll do it. And because I love comfort foods. Many of my all-time favorite foods are commonly referred to as "comfort foods" anyway, so this list could also be called "Natalie's Favorite Foods Om Nom Nom." Let's get to it!

1. Macaroni and Cheese

It's hard to go wrong with macaroni and cheese. While I don't mind the kind in a box, my favorite way to make it is from scratch with a big 'ol brick of Velveeta (mmm, processed cheese). That's how my mom taught me to make it, and to this day it's one of the very few things I can make without ruining something. On Wednesday I was feeling bummed because I wanted to go to my moms house and couldn't because I had a bunch of other crap to do, so instead I made a giant pot of macaroni.

2. Pork Adobo

Alright, maybe this one isn't super well-known as a comfort food, BUT it's kind of like a stew, which is totally a comfort food. Anyway, adobo is a Filipino dish made with chicken or pork (I prefer pork, but both are good), with veggies and spices and things and is eaten over rice. There are about a million ways to make it. I don't have a picture because it looks kind of different depending on who's making it, and I couldn't find a picture that looked just like the adobo my dad makes, which is my favorite <3

3. Mashed Potatoes

I love potatoes in many forms (baked, fried, grilled...aahhh), but mashed potatoes are always a winner.

4. Garlic Bread

I LOVE GARLIC. So good. I don't even care if I get bad breathe (well sometimes I do, eating garlicy things is something you have to plan accordingly). Garlic bread is usually served as a side, but I could just nom on a loaf and be perfectly happy. If it has cheese that's a huge bonus.

5. Bacon

Vegetarians aside, I've never met anyone that didn't love bacon. Bacon is amazing! Particularly thick, crunchy bacon that just came off the stove. Perfection. My favorite way to eat bacon is with eggs and rice (I'm boring). I haven't gotten on the BACON ON EVERYTHING bandwagon, because I firmly believe that bacon doesn't belong in my cookies or any other dessert. That's just so weird to me.

Alrighty. What are your favorite comfort foods? Or just your favorite foods? Let's just talk about food, hahah.

What I Wore: Aquaman!

So as I made sure to mention again, and again, and again, I decided awhile back that I was going to be Aquaman for Halloween! I decided to keep my outfit really simple, because it was something I had to wear to the theatre to work in, too. Even though there are some tiny pieces here and there I might change for next time, I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Today I thought it might be fun to give a little in-depth look at my outfit and how I pieced it all together. Plus I just like talking about Aquaman, hahah.

Aquaman cosplay costume

My favorite piece is my top. On one hand it's just a t-shirt, but on another hand I can wear it all the time now, because it's just a t-shirt. Since I'm poor I don't really like buying things that I'm only going to use a few times in my life. I saw the shirt on lots of different websites, and I eventually ordered it from Hot Topic. I don't normally shop there nowadays, but it happened to be on sale! It's from the men's department but runs a little slim. I ordered 1 size up, except now it's too long. Eventually I'd like to get it hemmed!

The green scale leggings took a bit more work. I typed variations of "green scale leggings" into Amazon and Ebay, and there were oodles to choose from. The problem was that most of them said "one size fits all," and then described it as suitable for sizes small and medium. Sweet. Unfortunately I am not small or even medium. I gave up on those and went to another favorite shopping site, Etsy! I eventually chose this pair from a shop called Nan Made. They are a bit long on me, but I'm only 5'1, so most things are! Otherwise they're perfect.

Just for a little extra fun I decided to add a few of my own touches. The first thing was one of my favorite pairs of earrings, these little blue fishies! Since I was Aquaman I thought it'd be fun to have a bit of my ocean posse hanging around. They're Betsey Johnson brand, but I bought them from Ross Dress for Less years ago. I tried finding a link, but no luck! One of the fishies lost a few stones :(

I also pulled out this green sea shell bracelet. I like to imagine that Aquaman spends some of his free time picking shells off the beach to make jewelry with (that isn't true, but I can dream). I've had this bracelet laying around for awhile, and even thought I liked it I could never find the right outfit to pair it with until now! The dangling shells make a fun-without-being-annoying jingling sound when you move.

Finally, I painted my nails a perfectly matching shade of obnoxious glittery orange. It's two coats of NYC Times Square Tangerine, and one coat of an orange glitter polish from Hot Topic (I don't think it has an actual name, but the bottle has a little skull on it - I got it years ago so it may be different now), and one coat of Seche Vite topcoat.

This picture didn't really work out, but it looks pretty cool in person, I promise.

So that was my Aquaman outfit :) The rest is pretty self explanatory. I'm looking forward to finding more occasions and excuses to wear it. Some of it may even show up in my #Nerdvember posts over on Instagram! What did you wear on Halloween?

October (Mostly) Happy Days

Happy November! I know this is what literally everyone is saying, but I seriously can't believe the year is almost over. I'm not ready! Aaaahhh. Like last month, I decided to do a little photo (and non photo) round-up of some things I did this month. Unfortunately I didn't take so many pictures this month, but it's alright. I can fill in the blanks with my own words :P

October 5

As I'm sure you already know, October was Breast Caner Awareness Month! For funsies I dug around and found my old "I Love Boobies" bracelet from the Keep A Breast Foundation. Remember these? When I first started college EVERYONE was ALWAYS wearing one (or two, or three). I was curious if these were still a thing you could get, and they are! You can also get things like bags, beanies, and all sorts of stuff. The bracelets come in a lot more colors and designs now, too!

October 6

October was a VERY busy month for the theatre! Right after we closed Bonnie and Clyde on the 6th, it was time to start working on The Rocky Horror Show! I was stage managing Bonnie and Clyde, but for Rocky I was assistant stage manager. It was nice to have a little sort-of break, hahah! These were both shows I had a great time working on.

 October 8

I got the cutest package from The Red Bow! Inside was an adorable Hello Kitty necklace. The package came as Andrew and I were walking out the door, and I made him wait while I took a picture of the wrapping so I could open it in the car! #BloggerProblems

October 9

I made Andrew and I some sleepytime tea in our matching LEGO mugs because I'm cheesy like that. Surprisingly, they did not come from the same location. Mine is from the LEGO store that I visited with my family at the Mall of America. When I came home from my journey, Andrew was so jealous and wanted one of his own (yes, I DID look for his name while I was there). A year or so later, Andrew, my family and I went to LEGOland, and they had one with his name! It was destiny.

October 10

My Aquaman leggings came in the mail! I love them so much. I ordered them from a shop on Etsy, and was worried they'd be too small as I've got a lot of junk in the trunk. Fortunately they fit PERFECTLY, though a little long (I have them hiked up in this picture, in reality they bunched around my ankles a bit more). However I'm only 5'1 so it's my fault, really. They are also a little more neon-y than I expected, but the more I look at them the more I love them!

October 16

I got a little side-eye as I was cleaning the living room, and found not one, not two, but TEN different lip products I thought I had lost in various locations...under couch cushions, under the coffee table, in Turtle's supply storage box (yeah, I don't know either).

October 17

I know I'm late to the loom-band craze but HOW CUTE IS THAT? My work buddy's daughter made it for me when she found out I love pandas. It's a little pencil topper, so its been following me around rehearsals. I kind of want to try making some, but my fingers are not so dexterous when it comes to tiny objects.

October 18

My library haul may have been few in books but made up for it it pages. A large print copy of The Goldfinch is NOT fun to carry around. I am very saddened to say that I had to return it before I was able to finish, but I do plan to get it again. Possibly for my Nook, instead.

October 28

I had a fun little trip down memory lane when this American Girl catalog came in the mail. I used to get these all the time as a kid (I was also subscribed to American Girl Magazine!), but its been forever and I have no idea how they got my new address? Hahah. Anyway, it was interesting to see how some things have changed DRASTICALLY, while some of it hasn't changed at all. I have a Molly doll, and I was sad to see that they no longer carry her :( Who was your favorite American Girl?

October 30

The day before Halloween I painted my nails orange to go with my Aquaman outfit! I've seen some really badass Aquaman nail art that I wish I could have imitated, but unfortunately I suck at that. The orange glitter polish is the BEST glitter polish I've used, and surprisingly it came from Hot Topic about four years ago. The NYC polish is alright. It's not particularly long lasting on its own, but in my experience adding a coat of Seche Vita saves even the worst polishes (except for that one time I thought getting E.L.F. polish was a good idea).

October 31

Halloweeeeeen! I spent my Halloween working at the theatre, but we had a pretty fun (though exhausting) time. At 8pm we had a showing of Rocky Horror, and another one at midnight! This was the first time we'd done a midnight showing for any of our shows, so it was an interesting experience for all of us. I'm lucky enough to work somewhere that lets me show up as Aquaman ;) I'll be sharing more about Aquaman in my next post!

How was your October? Tell me about some of the highlights of your month!
