100 Questions

  1. Are you young at heart, or an old soul? I'm definitely a mix! I'm not really interested in alot of things people my age are (the ones I meet, anyway; obviously they're not all the same), but my responsibility level isn't quite that of an "old soul."
  2. What makes someone a best friend? Someone that will never judge you.
  3. What Christmas (or Hanukkah) present do you remember the most? There was this one time my grandma made me this crazy red poncho with pom poms on it, and I had to call her (she lives out of state) and pretend I loved it.
  4. Tell me about a movie/song/tv show/play/book that has changed your life. The Bears Famous Invasion of Sicily
  5. Name one physical feature that you like about yourself, and one you dislike. I like my long eyelashes, I hate my thighs.
  6. Would you like to reconnect with any friends you’ve lost contact with? Not really. At one point I'd have said yes, but now I realize I'm better off without them.
  7. What’s more important in a relationship: physical attraction or emotional connection? Emotional connection! Awwwe.
  8. Name a movie that you knew would be terrible just from reading the title. The Human Centipede 2
  9. What holiday do you most look forward to? While I do enjoy holidays, I don't really "look forward" to most of the bigger holidays...I don't like all the stress, drama and planning (which leads to stress) that comes with them.
  10. How is the relationship between you and your parents? It's pretty good. I only moved out a little over a year ago. 
  11. You’ve got the TV on, but you’re not really watching. What channel is the TV on? I don't have cable, but lately I've had Kitchen Nightmares on in the background.
  12. Name a song that never fails to make you happy. On Top of the World, Imagine Dragons!
  13. You know at least one person named Michael. Tell me about him. I used to be pretty close friends with this guy named Michael. He lives 6 hours away though, so it kind of just fizzled out.
  14. Have you ever read the “missed connections” on Craigslist? Have you ever posted one, or wanted to? I've never seen those! Maybe I'll have to take a look.
  15. If you could pick anywhere to live the rest of your life, where would it be? I'll get back to you after a little more traveling.
  16. Can money buy happiness? Hell yes. Anyone who disagrees has never been poor, obviously. Not saying millionaire type of money, but a decent amount. Like enough to pay for basic needs without worrying.
  17. Do you drink? Do drugs? Why, or why not? I drink. 
  18. Is there anyone close to you that you know you can’t trust? You don’t have to give names. Yes.
  19. Where was your favorite place to go when you were a little kid? The aquarium!
  20. Have you ever spent a night in the hospital? Not the entire night.
  21. Do you enjoy being with only one or two friends, or with a large group of people? I like being with a few friends. 
  22. Do you like the type of music your parents listen to? Do your parents like the type of music you listen to? A little, but it's not really a "type."
  23. Have you ever been bullied? Have you ever bullied anyone else? Sure.
  24. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Sammiches 
  25. If your partner wanted to wait until marriage before having sex, would you stay in that relationship? Sure.
  26. Do you believe in a god? Yes.
  27. Of all the social networks in the world, why use twitter? I don't know. I tried to start a twitter but I didn't really understand it.

  29. Would you call yourself/your family “middle class?” The Yeti and I are below middle class. So, no. My family, as in my parents and stuff, I'd say are middle class.
  30. Name a TV series you didn’t enjoy until after it ended. It hasn't ended, but I didn't start watching Breaking Bad until the last season ended, which was a long time ago ._.
  31. Have you ever bought a product from an infomercial? Nope.
  32. If you could give up your car and never have to drive again, would you? No.
  33. If you go back to one point in time to give advice to yourself, when would you go and what would you say? I'd go back to when I was 16 or so and tell myself that my boyfriend was a sociopath.
  34. What’s your “quirkiest” habit? I wasn't sure, so I asked The Yeti and he said, "You like to eat Goldfish alot." I don't think that's really a habit but w/e.
  35. What is “normal?” Are you normal? There is no normal! I am not normal, but neither are you.
  36. Someone close to you is dying. You have the choice to let this person live for 10 more years, but if you do, you cause the death of 10 strangers. You don’t have to see them die. Do you take the offer? Why would you ask me that? What is wrong with you?! 
  37. What is one thing you could never forgive? There's two sides to every story, so it really depends.
  38. Would you rather be in a relationship after the honeymoon period ends, or be single? Of course be in a relationship. Anyone who's been in a long relationship knows this is a stupid question. Hahah.
  39. Is it possible for guys and girls to be just friends? It's possible, but not possible for everyone.
  40. Where do you and your friends go to hang out? Our house. Food places. Shows and stuff. Sometimes shopping.
  41. Write the first sentence of your obituary. Natalie Patalie died peacefully as she was riding on the back of a Leatherback Sea Turtle, when she was stung by a jellyfish.
  42. What is the best TV theme song ever? Happy Days!
  43. When you were young, what would you dream you would be when you grew up? I changed my mind pretty frequently.
  44. When you’re alone in your own home, do you walk around naked? Hahah, no.
  45. What gets you out of bed in the morning? Work :(
  46. Do you want to have more friends than you have right now? I love having lots of friends! So, yes.
  47. What part of the past year sticks out in your mind? If that means this year, then nothing too big yet. I still have 7 months to go.
  48. You win a scratch-off lottery game that gives you $2000 a week (after taxes) for the rest of your life. Do you keep your job? No! Well, I would keep one of them, which I actually enjoy. The rest, no way. I could easily (and luxuriously) live off $2000 a week. 
  49. Could you be in a long-distance relationship? If you’re in one, what makes yours work? Eh, probably not. The biggest one I've had was when I moved an hour away for a semester, and even that sucked hahah. It worked out ok since we're still together, but an actual long distance, probably not.
  50. What’s the best route to your heart? Servitude! Hahah, no (well maybe). Play Dynasty Warriors with me.
  51. Have you ever met someone through the internet, then met them in real life? Yes! 
  52. What is your favorite sport? Like to watch? None. I watch MMA fights sometimes, but I don't follow them regularly or anything.
  53. What has been troubling you lately? Money :(
  54. Did you enjoy your high school prom? If you haven’t gotten there yet, do you look forward to it? If you didn’t go, why not? No. I was homeschooled, so we didn't have our own prom. I was going to go to my boyfriends prom, like I got my dress and everything, but then we broke up before going.
  55. What do you use more often: your intuition or logical reasoning? Meh.
  56. Do you know what makes you happy? Sure I do.
  57. Tell me about the last book you read. Cloud Atlas! So good.
  58. What is the nicest compliment you’ve ever been given? Hmmm...
  59. Who was your first crush? Not telling :x 
  60. Do you believe that there is life on other planets? Like aliens? Not really. Maybe wildlife, like insects and things. I don't have a solid opinion either way though.
  61. Predict what your life will look like a year from now. Similar, but hopefully a bit more stable.
  62. Often, people will ask how your last relationship ended. I want to know how it began. The Yeti and I met in a college class, and he was mesmerized by my grumpy demeanor. 
  63. Where is your favorite place to go out and eat? Anywhere with a good clam chowder.
  64. What is something you want to change about your current situation? MO MONEY MO MONEY.
  65. Early bird or night owl? I've been changed into an early bird :(
  66. Are there any childhood possessions you still hold on to? I am basically a hoarder. So, yes.
  67. Give me an unpopular opinion you have. Kanye is the greatest rapper OF ALL TIME. Also Halo is dumb.
  68. What was the last song that was stuck in your head? "Rainbow Connection," I recently watched The Muppets Movie :)
  69. Where do you live? Be as general or specific as you want. I live in an apartment in California.
  70. Do you believe in giving kids medals and trophies for participation? Eh, depends what they're doing.
  71. What was the longest car ride you’ve ever taken? I've rode with my family to Washington State a few times, that's like 10 hours. Anything longer we always took a plane.
  72. Have you ever taken part in a protest? Nope.
  73. Would you ever use an online dating service? No.
  74. What is your ethnic heritage? Filipino/Swedish.
  75. Describe a person that inspires you. Funny.
  76. If you earn minimum wage doing what you love, would you? Yeeep.

  79. Do you want to live until you’re 100? If I'm healthy and pain free, then yes.
  80. Do people change? If so, how do you keep a relationship together when both of you start to change? Yes they do! You just have to be accepting and decide to still love that person...y'know, if you want to. Sometimes it's not worth it.
  81. Have you ever risked a friendship by telling someone you liked them? Nope.
  82. Would you rather be alone doing something you enjoy, or doing something you don’t like with your best friends? Alone. Half of the things I love doing I do alone! I don't mind.
  83. Do you practice what you preach? I try, but I'm a walking contradiction. 
  84. If you take precautions to stay safe, do you ultimately act more recklessly? No. What? Confused.
  85. What do you value more in a significant other: Attractiveness or intelligence? Intelligence.
  86. Are you hard-headed? NO. Maybe a little.
  87. Have you ever laughed uncontrollably when it was socially inappropriate? Yeah. Oops.
  88. When have you felt most alive? When I'm...alive. Sorry I'm boring.
  89. Would you prefer to live? A city? The suburbs? The countryside? The mountains? Suburbs. The city is too much, and the country is too boring.
  90. Do you often skip breakfast? When i have work in the morning I do.
  91. How do you know what true love is? Because it's great and stuff.

  96. What have you never tried, but would really like to someday? What’s holding you back? Skydiving or Bungee Jumping. I guess money and the opportunity are holding me back...and my brain falling out or something.

DIY Fishtail Bracelets

In my primary line of work I do a lot of "hurry up and wait." So I'll be there for eight hours, but might end up spending half of it sitting around. During times like those I like to bring simple (requiring few items, minimal mess making) projects to keep me busy. Most recently I've been making fishtail bracelets, after finding this tutorial on I Spy DIY. Here's how mine turned out :)

I promise if people ever start to read my blog I'll invest in a better camera.

Instead of using cord like she does in the tutorial I decided to use embroidery floss. I like the look of stacked bracelets, but personally I think it looks nicer when they're more on the slim side, also I thought floss would give them a cleaner look. Annnd because each color of floss only costs 60 cents for 8 1/2 yards. You may notice I used different connectors too, because...well, because I already had them around. Here's the tutorial:
